I love May Day. Very few people seem to know much about it, but either way I always do something special. Flowers make me smile – they make everyone smile. So today I put together these cute mugs and handed them out to neighbors and a couple of unsuspecting ladies at church that I didn’t really know well.
It’s easy to be a blessing to those you know will be a blessing in return, but take a moment to think of someone you can bless that you know is either unable or will not have the opportunity to return your kindness. (Luke 14:12-14)
These mugs were so simple to put together:
Find a cute mug
Fill the bottom with candy
Cut a square of wax paper and place on top of the candy (keeps the moisture and dirt from the plant off the candy)
Place a mini plant of some kind on top. It’s been cold here in Colorado lately so all the little plants at the store were looking rather sad. Then I found these adorable cactus plant and the fit perfectly!
Make a cute tag and leave on a doorstep.
Actually, this is a great idea for any occasion that you need a quick gift.
But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just. (Luke 14:13-14)
